I know. Another pancake recipe? Don’t you already have one? Yes. Didn’t you say they were the best pancakes ever? Yup. So why another pancake recipe? Ummmmmm….welll…these pancakes are the BEST PANCAKES EVER!!!
Okay, I know what you’re thinking. You’ve already said that. Yup. I did. And I totally meant it at the time. I love Pioneer Woman’s pancakes. They are yummy in my tummy. And while I feel a tad guilty (because I adore the Pioneer Woman) these are better.
I slightly adapted the recipe from the Brown Eyed Baker. She, much like my beloved Pioneer Woman, knows what she’s doing in the kitchen. Her version also includes sour cream, which makes them ultra tender. She also adds buttermilk, which some people miss in the PW version.
I like them both…a lot. You should try both of them too and decide for yourself.
Either way, your tummy and family will thank you. 🙂 FYI — these pancakes make the ultimate base for any pancake recipe. I love adding blueberries, and sometimes, when I’m feeling naughty, I fry them in bacon fat. Yeah, I went there.
