Peek-a-boo…I see you!
One of my favorite games is to play hide and seek with my mommy. She is very nosy and feels she must know where I am and what I am doing every second of the day. She has ruined many good dreams of me catching birdies because she wakes me up to see what I am doing.
I was sleeping until you woke me up! That is what I was doing!
I must point out that mommy gets very upset with me when I wake her up. She mumbles and grumbles. But when she does it—it is funny. Rude!
I occasionally like to hide from her because it frightens her. She runs around the apartment in a panic because she cannot find the most handsome cat in the world (also known as Emeril Wolfgang). She looks under the bed. In the closet. In the hamper. Under the bench. Under the blankets.
She can’t find me anywhere!
Most of the time I am sitting in a very obvious spot—like her chair. She runs around calling for me, and I just sit there, smiling at my silly mommy. Eventually I take pity on her and let out the softest meow.

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOW!! Peek-a-Boo! I see you!
Once she finds me, she wants to hug and hold me. I like to be petted. I like to be brushed. But I am big boy and do not need to be carried around like a big baby. So I squirm out of her arms and run to my food dish. But she insists on holding me for a minimum of 30 seconds before she gives me a treat. Sometimes I let her; sometimes I don’t. Regardless, I always get my treat.
It’s a fun game watching mommy act all crazy and silly. She is the best entertainment, EVER.
