It’s the week to eat until you have to loosen your pants, shop until you drop and most importantly—to give thanks for your many blessings. This year has been a bit of an emotional roller coaster for me as I dealt with Emeril’s diagnosis of kidney disease and the subsequent loss of my beloved kitty this August. And yet, I still feel incredibly blessed.
While the loss of Emeril still weighs on me, I feel so fortunate to have been blessed with ten amazing years with the most handsome cat in the whole wide world. It’s hard to remember life before Emeril. But I do remember all the times he made me laugh, his demanding meows for food and attention, his constant need to be told how handsome he was and how soft his fur felt.
I am so grateful for those memories. I will cherish them forever.
While Emeril is irreplaceable, I am also incredibly honored to be Max’s Mama. My sweet ginger tabby has been such a joy to get to know and I love my rascally Mighty Max. He has been the best addition to my life. I am grateful for his fun-loving spirit and feline antics.
I have so much to be grateful this Thanksgiving and every day—my beautiful boys (Emeril, Mo, and Max), my friends and family and you—the faithful readers of Eat Laugh Purr. Thank you for your support!
Max and I wish everyone a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving this year. Gobble, gobble!
