Mama was sick last week. All week. Cough. Cough. Sniff. Sniff. Moan. Whine. Then cough some more. She was such a drama queen. You know who wasn’t a drama queen? Me. Mighty Max. I was one BORED kitty.
I did my best to entertain Mama, scampering from room to room. What did Mama do? Yell at me for getting into mischief. Cabinets are soooooo enticing that I am compelled to finagle my way through the wimpy child lock and nap in the bathroom cabinet.
It’s not my fault that I can’t figure how to get out and have to meow and meow and meow until Mama opens the door for me.
All week she sat on the couch doing nothing, besides coughing, when she should be playing with me. No da bird. No feather brush attacks. No laser mouse to chase. Nothing to do but sit around being cute, which is BORING!
I kindly pointed out that she can sit on the couch while we play with my super cool laser mouse. She claimed the battery was dead, and she was too sick to replace it. Whatever. She found enough energy to go to the store for chicken noodle soup. Couldn’t she pick up a battery too?
The good news is Mama is back to being her normal indulgent self. She’s not super peppy, but nobody is as peppy as Mighty Max. Still, she did make it up to me on Sunday. I dazzled her with my acrobatics while I chased after my da bird.
She bought me a new laser mouse with a bold red light that I must, must, must catch, but it is soooooooo fast! She attacked me with my feather duster while I napped in my cat tower and after a fierce battle I captured it and ran off with my prize.
It is a good start; I am less bored now, but Mama should buy me a new toy or two or three. Hmmmm…definitely three toys to make up for my previous boredom. Don’t you agree?
