Oh boy! It’s me, MaxE! And I am super excited today because Mama and I are going to do a post together. Mama always helps me with my posts because she has to type for me. I cannot type, although I tried to once but I got yelled at for messing with Mama’s computer.
Mama said Thanksgiving is next week, so today we are going to share all the things we are thankful for this year. I am thankful for lots of things, especially my cat tower where I lord over Mama. She says it’s at perfect kissing height and she always gives me a smooch or two when I’m lounging in it. It’s kind of weird because it’s pink and I’m a boy, but she says it was gift for Emeril. Still weird because he was a prima donna boy cat. Mama says pink is now a gender neutral color but I’m pretty sure she’s lying.
I am also thankful for my big red bed. It’s super comfy! Mama put it on the bottom shelf of the bookcase where she used to have a plant. It’s entirely possible that I purposefully ate the plant so she would move it. Or maybe I just need more greens in my diet? Nevermind, I don’t need more greens in my diet! Anyway, my bed is extra big so I can really stretch out.
I am also thankful for cat treats and toys. I get a handful of cat treats before I go to bed every night. I would extra thankful if Mama gave me two handfuls of cat treats each day! I am such a sweet kitty that I don’t know why Mama wouldn’t want to give me extra treats.
[Tanya] Max, we already talked about this. You’re lucky to get cat treats every day.
Sure, sure. But there is no reason why I couldn’t be extra lucky, right?
[T] I’m not going to win this argument, am I?
Nope, Mama. You won’t. I look forward to getting my extra treats today.
[T] But you’ll get fat and you know what happens to fat kitties, don’t you?
There is just more of them to love?
[T] No! The vet makes them go on a DIET!
No way! That’s terrible. Okay, one big handful of treats should suffice. I don’t want to eat more green stuff! Okay, Mama, it’s your turn. What are you thankful for this year?
[T] I am thankful for so much, MaxE. I am thankful for family and friends. For blue skies and sunny days. For walks on the beach and ocean waves. For great recipes and new restaurants. For favorite books, TV shows and movies. For a nice home and car. For readers at Eat Laugh Purr. But most of all – I am thankful for you, MaxE! You bring laughter and love into my life every day and I couldn’t imagine life with my silly, sweet and fun, MaxE!
I am thankful out of all the many kitties at the Humane Society that you picked me! We are the perfect team, Mama! You adore and spoil me. I get everything I want. Best life EVER!
