Oh boy! I am super, duper excited today. I have been an EXTREMELY good kitty this year (some might say the BEST EVER) and Santa Kitty Klaus is going to reward me with lots of gifts. I just know it! Mama asked me if I wanted to see Santa Klaus at the Mall, but I said no because I’m pretty sure she’d make me dress up and all the other kitties would have made fun of me. Ugh.
Thankfully, I’m much too clever to fall for one of Mama’s tricks. She already put the Santa Klaus hat on me. I told her it didn’t fit. She said I looked adorable, which is true. But still. MaxE does not like clothes. I have plenty of fur!
Last year, I got a pretty good haul at Christmas, but I bet Santa Kitty Klaus will spoil me even more this year because I have been SO good. Not just a little bit good. But SO good. Clearly, Santa Kitty Klaus will reward me for my exemplary behavior.
Here is my list this year:
- The BIGGEST bag of cat treats possible. Mama always gets me a big bag but she told me they now sell a MEGA-SIZED bag of treats. MaxE needs a MEGA-SIZED bag of treats!
- Two new cat beds. I still have my super fluffy bed on the bookshelf. But Emeril (prima donna cat alert and former Santa Kitty Klaus) had MULTIPLE beds. NOT FAIR! I need a bed for Mama’s desk. She gets a little cranky when I sit up there while she’s working. Mostly because I push things off her desk. Wait! Wait! I only push things off her desk that are clearly in her way. I am being HELPFUL, not naughty. MaxE is a GOOD kitty. Anyway, I also need a bed for the tall dresser too. It’s the highest vantage point in the bedroom, so sometimes I sleep up there to keep a lookout and protect Mama from any creepy crawlers that try to nibble on her toes. Oh wait! I’m the one who likes to nibble on her toes! Meow!
- Toys, toys, and more TOYS! I need a new laser mouse because the battery in my old one died. Some more bouncy balls for me to bat around and a BIG spool of ribbon. I LOVE ribbons! They are so much fun to play with!
- And finally, I want a pet birdie. They sometimes sing outside the patio window for me and I love it. I would never eat my pet birdie and I’d take real good care of it. I swear!
I’m sure Santa Kitty Klaus will indulge me since I am such a good kitty. If you see him, will you please put in a good word for me? I would be forever grateful!
Mama said that in the true spirit of Christmas I have to share a wish for everyone. So here it goes: I wish Peace on Earth to All, including kitties, doggies, fish and even birdies.
Merry Christmas everyone!
