Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! Mama told me about Valentine’s Day, so I’ve been working on a super secret project—her Valentine’s Day present. She is really going to love it, mostly because it is from me, MaxE!
Now I asked Mama what my budget was for her super duper special gift. And she told me I had zero dollars to spend. Seems fair. I cannot go to the store or count money, so it was probably smart of Mama not to give me any.
Without any cold, hard cash that meant I had to be extra creative. Thankfully, I am super smart, so that wasn’t a problem for me. I thought about what Mama likes. She likes her laptop, TV, reading, cooking, eating, but what she really, really loves is MIGHTY MAX!
Yup, I’m what she loves most, so I decided to be her Valentine’s Day gift. But I’m not going to be any ordinary gift. Nope. I’m planning on being extra adorable. Sure, I am always adorable, but I am going to kick it up a notch and be super, duper adorable.
So adorable that Mama will be overwhelmed with gratitude and will buy me my pet birdie named Yum. Yum. I told her that’s what I wanted for V-Day, but she said no. I had to pick an inanimate animal for my present.
Not fair!
MaxE is hoping Mama is teasing and will still buy him his pet birdie, but if not, I want a new laser mouse! I love chasing that red dot, although I must confess that I never knew mice could produce a red light for me to chase. I just thought they were good eats!
Anyway, back to being super duper adorable. Here is my plan, I wake-up Mama like normal, but I will skip stomping on her bladder in consideration of the holiday. I’ll snuggle next to her and let her wrap her arm around me. I’ll purr super loud while she rubs my belly. I’ll try really, really, really hard to be on my best behavior. I won’t nudge Emeril’s picture off the desk (not that I do that!) and I’ll snuggle with Mama multiple times.
I will eat good, not throw up any hairballs or jump on the counters. I will let her chase me around the apartment, and I might even let her catch me! I won’t scratch her chair or the bench (not that I do that normally) and I will snuggle with her while we watch a movie at night.
Doesn’t that sound like a super duper good Valentine’s Day gift? Mama is going to be thrilled with it. And if you don’t mind, I’d sure appreciate it if you’d tell Mama that she should get me a laser mouse AND a pet birdie named Yum. Yum.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Yay! I was hoping that I’d see another Max story today. So cute! He is adorable, best Valentine’s gift ever! Once again, thanks for the smiles, Tanya!
Hi ya, Stephanie! Mama lets me post every Monday, unless I’m awfully naughty, which I paw swear that I never am! Thank you for your kind and very accurate words. I am adorable and the BEST Valentine’s Day present every. Say hi ya to your kitties for me!
Super cute as always MaxE. I love the laser gift idea. And you know what they say about a bird in the hand…. 🙂
Louie loves it when he sees spots from the sun reflecting on the wall and he will jump at them. In the summer I use my wedding ring to reflect the light spots onto the wall for him. Good fun. Never thought of getting a laser for him.
Happy Valentine’s Day!!
I don’t know what they say about birdies … That they are super tasty? Not that I would ever snack on my pet birdie if Mama would buy me one. I’d take super good care of him and lick him clean every day!
Louie would love a laser mouse. They aren’t tasty like real mice but they are loads of fun! I’m real good at catching that little red dot but it always gets away from me. I love pouncing. On my toys. Lights. Mama. So much fun! Happy Valentines’s Day to you too!
