Hi ya, everyone! It’s time for another rousing edition of Max Monday! Woot! Woot! Before I jump into my super exciting post, Mama asked me to tell you that she will be back to her normal posting schedule this week. This makes me happy because that means Mama has more time to play with me!
Today I’m going to share with you my favorite game. Well, technically I have two favorite games. I love, love nudging things off tables, desks, dressers and coffee tables and then looking innocent when Mama asks me why her keys, sunglasses, phone, picture of Prima Donna Emeril are on the floor.
Mama is such a sucker. She is always fooled!
But I talk about this game a lot, so today I want to share with you my love of pouncing. Now, most kitties are naturally good pouncers because we are clever and playful. Sadly, we sometimes have a bad reputation for being BORING!
Can you believe it?
MaxE is never boring. Sure, I may sleep 18 hours a day, but I am NOT boring!
Anyway, I love to pounce. I pounce on ribbon. Toys. Random bits of kibble that somehow escaped my food dish. On Mama’s toes while she sleeps.
But my most favorite thing to pounce on is my pet spider, named Al.
Yup, I have a pet spider named Alfonzo, but you can call him Al. While I am super bummed (and mildly peeved) that Mama refuses to buy me a pet birdie named Yum Yum, at least I still have Al to keep me company.
Al is not your ordinary spider. He smartly built his spider web on the ceiling of Mama’s bedroom. It’s too far for her to reach (she’s kinda short) and destroy it, which is good, because Al and I play every morning. He scurries down the wall while I howl loudly and try to pounce on him. I race around the bedroom, leaping on and off the bed, the dressers, Mama’s face, trying to trap Al under my big white mitt. He always gets away and sometimes Mama gets irritated by my play-by-play of the action.
Something about howling at 5:00 AM makes her cranky. I don’t understand.
I am confident that I would win a gold medal in the Kitty Olympics when it comes to pouncing. I am that good. Seriously, ask Mama. She says that I am the best pouncer ever and she would never lie to MaxE!
Well, I’d better go pounce on some things before I get too sleepy and need a nap. But you understand—right? Pouncing is hard work! See you next week for another exciting edition of Max Monday! Woot! Woot!
