Hi ya, everyone! Welcome to another edition of Max Monday! Today I’m going to meow about Mama. She has a cold and needed me to take care of her, which is no problem. MaxE is happy to help out. But Mama whines and whines and whines!
She always yelling me to make her chicken noodle soup. I would, but I don’t have any birdies to put in her soup! And she refuses to buy me a birdie. Plus, I get yelled at if I jump on the counters and a timeout if I jump on the stove. So how can MaxE make soup for his Mama if he doesn’t have kitchen counter and stove privileges? He can’t!
Then she begs me to go to the store and pick up chicken noodle soup, tea and lemons for her. This is definitely a job for Mighty Max. I sit patiently at the door, waiting for her to let me out. But she never does! She just lays on the sofa, like a big ‘ol lump and pouts.
But the worst thing she does is stumble over to my cat tower when I’m napping to pet me. Sounds perfectly fine, right? Well, it’s not. She coughs in my face. All. The. Time.
Cough. Cough. Cough. Cough. Cough. Cough. Cough.
So rude!
Because I am a super awesome cat, I take it without complaint.
Okay, minimal complaining.
But I take good care of Mama because she always takes good care of her special guy—and that’s me! To make her feel better, I snuggle with Mama, even though she coughs on me all the time. I help her out when I find her standing around, looking confused. Well, more confused than normal. Mama is working through a NyQuil haze, so sometimes she forgets what she is doing.
I always remind her: You were getting MaxE some treats.
She needs plenty of rest, so I encourage her to take a cat nap with me during the day. She likes to spoon with me, which I permit because she’s sick. I don’t even get grumpy when she can’t play with me without going into a massive coughing fit. I just entertain myself by getting into mischief. She gets mad but then forgets after she takes another hit of NyQuil. 🙂
Mama is sure lucky to have me around to take care of her. Maybe I should considering starting a cat nurse business too. I’m real good at it. And people always get sick and need someone to take care of them. I am such a good cat-a-preneuer! I’ll have to discuss this with Mama once she feels better.
Well, Mama is calling for me. Apparently she is out of kleenexes, so now maybe MaxE will get to go to the store! See you next week!
