Hi ya, everyone! I’m back on Mondays where I belong, but just so you know — Max rules every day in our home. Why? Because I rule! Do you know what else rules? The Lemonade Stand. Mama told me a bunch of people reviewed the book, and I thought it would be nice to get a feline perspective.
So Mama and I sat down together and she read me the book because I can’t read. The story is about these two boys who find some toys they want. Ryan wanted a bouncy ball, which I totally get. Those suckers are fun! Christopher wanted a flashy race car, which I was less enthused about. I don’t like car rides because it always ends at the vet with me getting my nails trimmed or a shot. Ouch!
Anyway, their Mama says “no” to buying the toys for them and they don’t have enough coins to buy the toys themselves. Thank goodness Lauren and Taylor come to the rescue. They help the boys start a lemonade stand to earn money for their toys.
What I loved about the story is that these kids are kid-a-prenuers, just like MaxE is a catpreneuer. So I could relate to their desire to earn money and be independent as I’m sure all kids and cats can. Unfortunately, Mama says I can’t start my own lemonade stand business because I don’t have outdoor privileges (and there was some mumbling about me chasing birdies). But I still learned a lot from the book and when Max’s Pet Sitting Service takes off, I will be sure to save, spend and share my earnings.
I’m gonna save for a deluxe cat tower because those things are awesome. And since I am awesome, it only makes sense that I have one. I’m gonna spend my money on a pet birdie named Yum Yum. And I’m gonna share my money with Mama. First, I gotta repay my start-up business costs of $1, then I’m gonna buy Mama a new pair of flip flops because I am super generous. She loves flip flops and a happy Mama gives MaxE extra treats!
I recommend The Lemonade Stand to all kids and felines. It’s a real good story with an important message. It has really pretty pictures too. Here is my favorite one, minus the puppy! Meow!
Don’t I look at lot like that kitty? I think so. I’m sure I was the inspiration. Mama, why are you rolling your eyes?
Anyway, MaxE gives the Lemonade Stand two paws up! You can get an extra special discount RIGHT NOW for $3 off the book through July 31 with the coupon code TOUR3114. Meow!

Happy Monday MaxE and Tanya!
Your pictures turned out beautiful, as always. And it just goes to show that the Lemonade Stand has valuable money lessons for all entreprenuers, both kids and Cats.
Cats rule though!!
Talk soon….. S.
I do photograph beautifully because I am super handsome. Mama had to set books all over the place for me too. Yes, kid and cats can be good entrepreneurs and I can’t wait to save, spen and share my money. I know someone will hire me soon!
Aww, I’ve read quite a few reviews, and I think MaxE’s is my favorite – the cat does look like him, and I love the two paws up. 🙂
Yeah!! I am glad that my review is your favorite! Perhaps I should start a new side hustle reviewing books. Mama loves to read so should be willing to support this new endeavor! Thanks for the idea, Anna! I give you two paws up for being awesome!
