Happy Birthday to me! Happy birthday to the coolest cat, EVER! Yup, yesterday was officially my two year anniversary with Mama, which we celebrate as my birthday since my Mama doesn’t know my real birthday and I can’t remember. Do you know what I love most about birthdays? Everything!
I love, love, LOVE presents! MaxE is such a good kitty that Mama showers him with presents. I got a bag of treats from Mama’s parents when they visited last week. Mama gave me some new stuffed mice to play with (and I LOVE them SO MUCH) and a bunch of bouncy balls.
Technically, the bouncy balls weren’t new. Mama rescued them for me from underneath the dastardly sofa who had been holding them hostage.
So rude.
Anyway, Mama gave me some treats with my breakfast to kick-off my big day right. I also got a full body kitty massage from Mama who gives the best massages. Plus she gave me one of her special tummy and foot rubs. I felt pampered and well loved.
Until this.
I HATE birthday hats and scarves. MEOW! I don’t know why Mama must humiliate me. Now I am all tense again and need another massage.
And you know what else? Mama did not give me a birdie for my birthday. I meowed about wanting one every single day. And does she listen? No. Instead she makes me wear a stupid birthday hat and scarf. I’m glad she didn’t get me a Yum Yum birdie. He would fly around laughing at me, and I’d be too embarrassed to lovingly pounce on him.
Still, Mama did play with me lots. And snuck me the occasional treat on the side, which she NEVER does. And she didn’t even yell “no” when I was maybe being mischievous. She just sighed (loudly and dramatically) and ignored me.
So all in all, it was still a pretty darn good birthday. If I could just get rid of that stupid birthday costume. I really ought to practice sharpening my claws on it. That should do it! Don’t you agree?
