Hi ya, everyone! I am super duper excited today because Mama is in da house! That’s right, Mama and MaxE are posting together, although it’s still MY post because it’s Max Monday, not Mama Monday. Mama may be my typist, but I have final approval on our topic and what we post. That’s right. MaxE is #bossy! Meow!
Tanya: Okay, so what’s the topic?
Max: I think we should talk about how awesome I am.
Tanya: We do that every week. Why don’t we instead talk about gratitude and what we are thankful for this Thanksgiving.
Max: That sounds boring.
Tanya: It makes sense.
Max: Too on the nose.
Tanya: Really?
Max: Yup. And boring.
Tanya: Do you know what comes after Thanksgiving?
Max: My birthday?
Tanya: Christmas. And Santa Kitty Klaus only delivers to good kitties.
Max: Today, I’m meowing about all the many things I am grateful for because I am a good kitty who always minds his Mama. That’s right, so if you’re making a nice list, please double-check to make sure I am on there!
Tanya: Wise choice, Max. So what are you grateful for this Thanksgiving?
Max: Well, I’m grateful for my comfy bed and cat tower. I love my kibble, especially those yummy treats. I like being petted and pampered every day by the best Mama in the whole wide world. I like my stuffed mice (hint, hint), and I’m really, really, REALLY grateful that I don’t have to wear clothes every day. How about you, Mama?
Tanya: Let’s see … I’m grateful for great family and friends. For being able to wear flip-flops most days. To being the best Mama to the best (and most mischievous) kitty who makes me laugh and smile every single day. To good books, good health and good food. And to a world full of great possibilities, all within my grasp!
Max: That’s a real good list, not as good as mine (Expect for MaxE being the best kitty. That was TRUTH, man!) Do you know what else I am grateful for, Mama?
Tanya: Nope. Tell me.
Max: All of our great readers, especially those that comment on my blog posts. And I really, really, REALLY love it when they side with me, not you.
Tanya: That’s a great addition, Mighty Max, although if I remember correctly, they tend to side with me, not you.
Max: Meow! Not true, Mama! You have a very selective memory.
Tanya: You mean like how I remember all those times you were naughty?
Max: Exactly. I cannot recall A Single Time that I was ever naughty. I swear Santa Kitty Klaus. All lies. I am a very well-behaved feline. Paw swear.
Tanya: Uh-huh. I think we better wrap this up before you start telling more lies and get put on the naughty list.
Max: You’re so smart, Mama!
We wish everyone a safe and joyous Thanksgiving. May your bellies and hearts be full (of birdies! Nom. Nom) this holiday season. We’re taking the rest of the week off, but we’ll be back in action next week.
