Santa Claus (or Santa Kitty Klaus if you’re a feline named Max) will be sliding down chimneys in less than 2 weeks. I am in deep denial about the fact to be honest. Christmas always throws me for a loop since I moved to California. It just never feels Christmas-like, although I definitely prefer wearing flip-flops to boots! 🙂 Honestly, who wouldn’t?
The one thing that always helps me find my Christmas spirit is making some holiday goodies. I take a lot of pride in setting out a delicious holiday tray filled with lots of delectable treats. Here are a few of my favorites!
Creamy Caramels
I make these every year and everyone LOVES them. I used to be really intimidated by making caramels but it’s honestly not that scary. It’s entirely possible that I’d be left stranded at the airport if I didn’t have a big bag of these in my suitcase.
Peppermint Oreo Bark
This is one of my most requested treats and it’s always been a well-received gift too. Can I let you in on a little secret? It’s sooooooo easy to make too!
Peanut Butter Fudge
My brother came to visit me while he was in LA for a training last year and I made an easy peanut butter fudge for him. It was yucky, and I was embarrassed. This is how I redeemed myself because this fudge is the bomb diggity!
White Chocolate Popcorn with Fritos and M&M’s
This such a great combination of sweet and salty. Make plenty because everyone will be taking double fistfuls!
Russian Snowballs
These are also the same as Mexican Wedding Cookies. Regardless of what you call them, they are delicious. And these are the only kind of snowball I like!
Bacon Peanut Clusters
These may sound strange, but they are delicious. So, so good. People give me an odd look when I tell them what they are, but once they try one, they can’t stop eating them. Again, it’s a great combination of salty and sweet.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Saltine Toffee
These should come with a warning because they are dangerously addictive. Super tasty and easy – a real win-win in my book.
Candy Cane Kiss Thumbprints
I’m a huge peppermint fan. These cookies are impressive looking and taste great. Bonus points for also freezing beautifully too.
Hot Chocolate
This is an absolutely rich and decadent beverage. It so good and a great way to stay warm during the holidays and all winter long.
I highly recommend these treats and love every single one of them. I am confident your family and friends will love them too and you’ll be their culinary hero!
