Ahhhhhh … I’m back. It wasn’t my intent to disappear, but I live on planet Earth where sometimes best intentions go awry. I’ve been busy with work — no complaints there, busy is good! — but I also had a friend undergo a serious health scare. She came first, and I am happy to report that she is doing much, much better.
When I had downtime, blogging wasn’t a priority, but chilling out and finding my happy place was. 🙂 Not that connecting with all of you doesn’t it make happy, because it does, but I needed a break from my computer. So instead I read and snuggled with the Max Man. In fact, I think the big guy would have packed up his toys, cat food and treats and hit the road if he could have figured out how to work the deadbolt. He felt a little ignored, so I’ve been trying to make it up to him.
It’s amazing how a few extra treats will put a little pep in his step!
I’m still chasing after this elusive Life Balance concept. I think it’s like a unicorn, ya know. A beautiful dream but doesn’t really exist.
It teases us with it’s beauty and lures us in with it’s tales of nirvana, but it’s more myth than reality.
Or is it just me? Does everyone else have a good life balance? If so, spill it. I wanna know how you do it, because this is how I normally feel.
While I’m not nearly as limber or flexible as a feline, I do land on my feet and that’s what matters. Life is crazy and you might as well buckle up and enjoy the ride.
And seriously, if you have “the secret” to life balance, TELL ME! I stress eat and my pants are not loving me right now. Ugh. I gotta get better at planning for those days because I don’t want to undo the good I’ve done and need to continue working on, which was another reason why I chilled out instead of blogging. A little rest is good for the soul and belly.
