Sorry for my absence, but I’ve been playing a bit of catch-up. We had an extended power outage where I live, which was NOT FUN AT ALL, and then I had my birthday to celebrate. I still have lots of mixed feelings about turning the big 4-0. I’m hoping, assuming, praying that is normal. Ultimately I am looking forward to starting my fourth decade and seeing what life brings me.
I‘ve been working on a couple of personal projects that I can’t wait to unveil to you, but first, I’m going to take an extended coffee break. I have a small vacation planned (visiting family, nothing exotic!) and need some time to decompress and recharge.
The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to give yourself some time to breathe and relax. We can’t hustle every moment and these breaks — where we truly allow ourselves to enjoy simple pleasures — are critical to keeping my good cheer!
The Max Man and I will be back on August 18, refreshed and raring to go.

Happy Birthday to you 🙂 I can understand about all the feelings about turning 40; I am 38 so it is right around the corner for me. There are just a lot of emotions that go into birthdays right now where there didn’t used to be, you know? Why can’t we just turn 21 every year, lol 🙂
Enjoy your vacation and tell Max that Bailey says hi!
Oh man, to turn 21 every year or 25. 25 was a great year. 🙂 Here’s hoping that 40 is always a great year too!
Happy birthday, my friend! I love my forties for the reason you stated – you really do start to love yourself more as you get older. Hope you have a wonderful time, Tanya! Glad you are taking some time to chill. 🙂
I’m counting on the 40’s being awesome! 🙂 I had a great time off and now … back to reality!
