Oops, I did it again! Yup, I know I’m getting a little loopy when I start singing Britney Spears. 🙂 I decided it was time to give my little ‘ol blog a makeover and had a blast! Okay, sometimes it was super annoying, but mostly gratifying. I love the new look. It’s modern, a little whimsical and fun. So it’s basically me! HA! And another sign I’m tired – so many exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember my very first iteration of Eat Laugh Purr. I was so proud. It was so ugly. Like, so ugly only a mother could love it, and this Mama did at the time. She is also glad that her skills improved, so her blog design could as well. I’ve come a long way baby! Yup, now I’m quoting commercials!
There are still a few little tweaks I need to make, but I’m very happy with the new and improved Eat Laugh Purr overall. My original plan was to make the switch Sunday night until my apartment management sent out letters that they were doing their annual fire alarm testing this week.
Don’t get me wrong — I’m very glad that fire safety is important to my landlord (and technically a city requirement), but it is LOUD. The first year I experienced this live and in person, I naively assumed they came into your apartment, changed the batteries in your fire alarm and gave it a short test. Nope. Oh, they test your alarm. But it doesn’t just go off in your apartment, but in every, single apartment in the building. All day long. It is migraine inducing.
My apartment wasn’t in terrible shape, but I spent some time cleaning it up this weekend. I don’t want to be dubbed the sloth, ya know. 🙂 And when I started stressing over getting everything finished in time, I reminded myself that the world wouldn’t end if I didn’t unveil the new site on Monday. This was meant to be fun, so I spent some time on it this weekend, but I also read and snuggled with the Max Man in between cleaning and working on this and other projects.
I hope you like the new digs as much as I do and invite you to take a tour. And if you decide your blog or website is due for a refresh, I’d be happy to help make your blog sparkle and shine too.
