In a small microwaveable bowl, add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Microwave for 30 seconds. Stir. Microwave for another 30 seconds. Add canola oil and stir until smooth and glossy.
Spoon over ice cream and let it set for a minute or two until hard.
Notes
Store extra topping in a microwaveable container as it will harden in the fridge, and you will need to be the Incredible Hulk to remove it. Assuming you aren’t him, nuke the container for 30 seconds and stir until it’s nice and smooth again.
